RSC Bexley : superfast service

A few months ago the fluted bezel on my datejust split spontaneously due to some unknown reason.
So I took the watch back to my AD for a new bexel. He told me it would take 4 weeks for an estimate from Rolex and a further 16 weeks for the watch to be fixed.
I was rung back in about 10 days with the estimate and again about 10 days later saying the watch was ready for collection!! Unbelievable, I had he watch back 3 weeks after I had handed it in.
Price was quite steep as expected : bezel + labour + VAT = £502.00
But I am quite pleased with it, the watch looks new with he shiny new bezel, and it even came with a bezel protector !!! (cant remember it it came with one when I originally bough he datejust about 15 yrs ago).
