Can't seem to get 16800 bezel insert seated
Maybe one of you has a tip here. I ordered a bezel insert for my 16800 that has the correct patina to the pearl and matches the watch. Mine came with a 16610 insert that had a crack in it and the pearl was the only part on the watch that still lumed.
So I got the 16800 insert yesterday and tried with all my might to get it in, but no luck. I spent about 3 hours trying various techniques. I've never had this much trouble with my GMT inserts. I've followed Jocke's tutorial with the "table edge technique" as well as some of the ones on YouTube, but no go. It just seems to be slightly larger than the bezel. I don't have any reason to believe it is aftermarket or not genuine Rolex. I've compared it via a loupe with high resolution 16800 pictures and everything seems consistent. Anyone got any tips here? Thanks in advance. |
