Nuts!!!

Yesterday morning, a 5 man crew showed up bright and early to re-roof my house. Reputable company, good quote, but as with any roofing quote, sheathing replacement is extra as required. They started stripping the old shingles, and that's when they found out that the original roof sheathing was 4'X4', 3/8". With it all exposed it looked like the Atlantic Ocean on a bad day.

Fast forward to this morning. They're in the middle of completely re-sheathing the roof in 4'X8' 1/2" plywood to give a solid base for the new shingles. For an additional $2,000. Nuts, nuts, nuts! I guess I can quit looking for that OysterQuartz for a while.

I don't want to get technical, but according to chemistry alcohol IS a solution!
