SS Submariner comes full circle over 20 years

I purchased my first rolex in 1990, it was birthday present to myself and I loved my stainless steel submariner which cost me $1500 brand new from a authorized dealer. Five years later while on vacation in San Francisco California, I was walking in a jewlry store and the owner says to me I will give you $2500 for your rolex. I was not looking to sell my watch but when he made the offer I said sure and gave him my 5 year old watch. I then bought a new two tone datejust with the money and wore that watch for 3 years trading that one in for a different two tone datejust and finally in 2004 traded that in for a new two tone black submariner. I really really liked that watch but when the new GMT II C came out I wanted one. I bought a GMT II C last July but I found I still reached for my two tone sub. much more than my GMT II C. Infact my GMT II C was not getting much wrist time after the novelty were off a month or two later. A few weeks ago I was on vacation and came upon a jewler selling a brand new SS Daytona white face still covered in the factory plastic with hangs tags, factory boxes, papers, warranty card etc. and had to have it. I traded in my two tone submariner toward the Daytona and yesterday I traded in my GMT II C for a new SS Sub. So 20 years later I again will have a stainless steel sub . I am a little conflicted on whether to buy a new two tone sub. vs the ss sub as I really love both styles. It seems that two tone is not as in style as it once was ie I see more people wearing stainless steel these days. My sub. is being shipped out on Monday for a Tuesday delivery. I have nothing against the GMT II C I really think it is one of the most attractive stainless steel watches made today. The sub C to me has a less busy more classic style that looks great in a bathing suit or a tux. . I like the new clasp, new bezel and upgraded movement.
