Daytona Not keeping time?

Lurker for years and now I need some help or advice. I have a Daytona I bought in 1998-1999 I have worn the watch everyday since i bought it new, other than hospital stay or when it was being serviced by Rolex in Dallas. I take the watch off when I go to bed and put it back on in the morning 6-7 hours later and it is now stopping and I have to reset the time rewind it. This has never happened any ideas other than have it serviced? and if so what part is worn do you think? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Yeah I know it needs a good polishing but its a daily driver it gets worn in all conditions. I think i am in need for an additional watch so i can let this one take a break.
