Daytona Zenith vs Milli
TRF,
I went to my local AD this past weekend with full intention on putting some money towards M serial Milli-GV(M serial 2008 I think), which I did, but I ran into something that really caught my eye. I have been "trolling" the site, soaking up all the info you guys put out there, and naturally, I have picked up on the Daytona obsession/mystique. It's a nice piece, however I cannot stand the white/silver dials. The Panda is awesome, but out of my price range at the moment. When I was perusing the AD's Daytona's that they would "allow" me to see, I ran into an A serial Zenith, both in black and white. The white with the black dials looked dead sexy. The bezel did not have much wear and a very insignificant "scratch" on the sapphire. They initially said 9-10k, but they did some calling around/research when I was contemplating and said lowest they would go is 11k. If it was 10, I would do it, but I feel like I should not bite at 11 based on principle - seems like they might be trying to milk it a bit? Either way, the decision is tough as I own a 2003 subLV and am torn between the two. I think both are dressy compared to my sub(which is what I was going for) but the Zenith seems like it would require more "maintenance," but is halfway there to being vintage, while the Milli is common enough to find. The matte dial on the Milli though is only appreciated in person, just gorgeous. Help! AC |
