Large wristed Pam wearers

Any out there? I have just realized that the arc on the deployant buckle is too curved for a large wrist. I am about 8.5 inches and have felt a bit of irritation. I thought it was the release buttons. However, I have analyzed the strap, and the deployant buckle really could be flatter. I have compared it with my Rolex clasps and it is noticibly more curved. I am thinking of smoothing the edges of the ends of the claps wi a file with the hope of making it a bit more smooth.
I have a nice strap from Rob Montana, but i just picked up an extra large strap from the boutique in NYC and I rather like it and would be nice if i could wear it.
Waddya think?
