But as much as I nag about the Deepsea, I do think it is a piece of superlative engineering and there sure is something mysteriously special about it. It is totally a love/hate thing, I painfully admit that I've owned this watch multiple times and there might be more! :-)

I don't think people here are DSSD-haters as much as there are certain people (I might be one of them...) who generally don't like over-sized watches, and the DSSD is pretty much the only one in the Rolex camp, so there is where the critique land!
