Trying to figure out my end link issue...
Hi all. I'm a bit new here. I did purchase my GMT II from this site, so thank you for that. I know what I'm about to say will make no sense, and I get it. My GMT II came with the oyster bracelet and an extra jubilee with end links for both.
I just purchased two 16013 datejusts, identical to each other. Don't ask. I converted one to a white gold/stainless model for my wife, again, don't ask, it's what she wanted. The watch looks great but it came with no bracelet. So, since I have the extra jubilee for the GMT II and the lugs are both 20mm, I would think I could use the jubilee from the GMT II for the DJ. Eh, no. And I assume the issue is the end links. While they technically fit in between the lugs, they are too spread out (top to bottom) and I don't want to take a pair of pliers and ruin them to get them to fit. It also appears that even when I did make the attempt, only one end of the spring bar seemed to fit into the case. I'm thinking I can still use the jubilee bracelet itself, but will need to find the correct end links to use it. Does that make any sense at all? Sorry if I appear a bit dim, but I'm not used to making things work when they might not. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks David |
