squeak/chatter on closing case back?
I just changed the battery on a gold oysterquartz where everything seemed to go well .
I was a bit concened while closing the case back when I heard a little squeaking which seemed more like chatter. I then loosened the back by one turn to make sure that it would unscrew properly - which it did, but upon slowly tightening it, I noticed the same squeak/chatter again. I didn't screw it on too tightly to avoid putting too much torque on the thread, just after feeling the rubber gasket nicely. Apart from this, the case back went on without any force and is level with the case. I only have the Bergeon sockets which come with the handle and not any fancy vice. For those with more experience, does this "chatter/squeak" seem like something serious such as damage to the threads as I now feel reluctant to open it again at the next battery change as I would be more than happy to pay a professional to change the battery?? Thanks in advance for any feedback |
