AD's WERE NOT CREATED EQUAL (Long Post)
Hi, all. Happy Friday. I firmly believe that AD's were not created equal. Case in point, I went to an AD last Monday, the not so likeable "BB" to check out the TT blue Submariner. The salesperson was friendly and offered to have my SD cleaned--a free service. It was a good experience.
The following day, I went to my own AD to have a link removed from my bracelet. The store is an Omega dealer and mostly cater to an specific Asian community--as several of the salespeople, have difficulty communicating in English. I explained that I purchased the watch from their store. Sadly, the (female) salesperson no longer recognized me. But, she was all over me, 5 months ago, when I paid cash! They demanded for the receipt. Luckily, I had the receipt with me. One of the sales ladies' insisted that it was "OK," in spite of the bracelet being loose. Their watch technician, they claimed, is on vacation. But, I had phone them, prior to my coming over and they said, no problem. I had to fight for it, so one link can be removed. It was a traumatic experience for me. I am taking my business somewhere else. Lesson learned: There are good AD's, and there are equally bad AD's. These bad AD's shouldn't be in watch business, but instead in the donut business, IMHO. |
