Second Hand doesn't move easily on startup

Quick Q for the the tech experts.

When I was changing the time on my 16610 recently for daylight savings, I hacked the second hand and moved the watch ahead 1 hour. I pushed the crown back in and the watch didn't start up. I had to give it a slight tap. It has never done this before but...It has always done this when I'm winding my watch from a dead stop. I always have to give it a slight tap to get it moving.

It has been like this for some time. It is a M series if that matters.

Is this normal?

My Panerai's (base ETA 6497 and JLC 8 day) don't do this.

Thanks in advance.
