NEW Arrival: DSSD King (Prince) of the Deep
Hi guys,
The FedEx truck pulled up around 9:45 this morning with a delivery from DavidSW. This is a watch that I have been thinking about for a long time, and finally decided to pull the trigger on. It is (even more than the HULK) a watch that you cannot just hang over your wrist at the AD and form any type of opinion on. It requires proper sizing (removal of the wetsuit extension) and a test drive in the wild. So far, I am very, very impressed. First...the size of the box. It was the biggest beautiful green Rolex box I have ever seen. In the picture I have it next to the box that came with my 116610LV. It is a box truly fitting for the King of the Deep. After opening up this massive box, I was awestruck at the domed crystal the subtle nature of the writing on the dial, the beautiful shiny bezel, the dark titanium case back and best of all the DSSD version of the Glidelock. It is certainly a large watch, but not as daunting in person as I had feared. I am used to wearing PAMs and think this watch looks absolutely amazing. The case back is flatter than my Sub Cs and the watch seems to wear more comfortably than my 116613LN. With one link and the diver's extension removed it weighs in at a whopping 210 grams. So far...I am definitely in LOVE (I will be sure to post a follow up review in a couple weeks!)
