Ebb Tide was a request from the beautiful Lisa, guessing it's her favorite song.

The truth behind my interest in that song is a little strange... I've tried to teach myself to play it since I was in high school and plinking around on my parents' piano. I do think it's a beautiful song, no matter the background with it: Mom used to play a bit, and she once told me she never could play Ebb Tide very well. Years passed, and she's now 83 and quite disabled from Alzheimer's. She has no recollection of the song anymore. My sister and I plan to have it played at her funeral.

Now, lest you become too wistful over this news.... don't worry - my sister and I have always had a difficult and tempestuous relationship with Mom... but we figure somehow the song would be appropriate. There was a time in her life she would have appreciated hearing it played well.
