vintage rolex servicing but dont want to lose the vintage?

Hi All,

As some of you have read I picked up my fathers vintage rolex made in the 1970's. I'm thinking of getting it serviced but don't want to lose the vintage look. I've heard that rolex will service your watch like new but I don't really want them to change anything.

Will rolex just service the watch without repairing? Any ideas of cost? Also will they likely service a watch from the 1970's?

Finally should I send it to rolex head office service centre (in the UK it is in London) or just use a local AD?

Thanks for any advice before I give them a call.
Cheers.
