Overshined

Man, I have this friend who wanted to have his DJ polished so instead of taking it to my AD, an official former RSC watchmaker and currrently certified by Rolex watchmaker with all the correct education and equipment, he opted to go somewhere else for reasons I do not understand. I think he was afraid of getting a big bill. I don't even think my watchmaker would have charged him a cent for a light, gentle buffing.

Anyway, he took it so some rookie who buffed the shoulders round and literally took off lots of metal. I don't think he has the eye to really understand what was done to his watch, and I don't think I will tell him. He got his shine though! Just remember to be careful when you get zealous about wanting that new watch shine. You may just get it but lose a lot more.
