OCROLEXGUY (Patrick)
So I was given a beautiful Patek Philippe Calatrava from my father (he simply "didn't wear it") and as much as I loved it I yearned for a big beautiful Submariner. I contacted 5 jewelers across the United States and got bids to purchase the watch anywhere from 3,000 (insulting) to 11,000 (scam) but never really felt like any of them gave a hoot if they did a deal or not.
I had lurked this forum for quite a while and eventually decided to monitor the classified section for FSOT Subs and came across Patrick with a like new ceramic sub. As has been stated numerous times, this guy takes his business and his customers serious! I had a response from him within a few hours and we were off to the races. I sent him detailed pictures of the watch and was honest about what had been bid and the small ding above the hobnob bezel. He gave a range within 500 bucks, listed all the models he thought would be within reason for a trade and told me he would prepay overnight shipping and private insurance to check out the watch. It is only thanks to feedback on this forum (like the kind I am typing right now) that I felt 100% comfortable sending him the watch. The Patek went out the next day (Thursday) and he recieved it today (Friday). Within 30 minutes of it being delivered he text me and told me he was picking it up. 30 minutes after that he text and said he was taking it to his jewler. Two hours later he texts and says everything checks out and he is sending the Sub for Saturday delivery. Now that is service! I hope he makes a heafty profit on the Patek and I know I will love the Sub when it gets here tomorrow. I will post back with pics to let everyone know the deal is complete but as of now, I am blown away by this guy. Thanks Patrick. |
