Icon9 I no longer have my DSSD ..........

Well my DSSD has been running plus 7.5 seconds fast since I purchased it last year and i decided to get it taken care of. I had a few meetings scheduled in NYC yesterday and took advantage of a little time I had in between meetings to drop it off at the RSC. I had a dinner meeting at 5:30. I got there a little after 4, filled out my form and waited a few minutes. I had a few chocolates and looked at the lovely watches on display. They called my name and asked me for the warranty card which was in order and to my surprise they did not ask for proof of purchase as I have seen on other posts.
They took the watch to the back came back about 40 minutes later and told me it was running about 5 seconds fast but the spring seemed really tight so they were going to service it. I figured I was going to have to leave it so I brought my Omega Seamaster that my Dad gave me about 35 years ago. I miss my DSSD but I am glad to give the Seamaster some wrist time.
Has the NYC RSC policy changed?
