Icon14 Pronzo re-visited

now that the "shock" of another bronze panerai has passed, i thought i'd take another look at the 507.

what i've found is that i have completely warmed up to the PR on the dial. i like the balance it gives the dial and how the PR fills the empty space opposite the seconds dial. i also like the 3 lines on top vs the 2 and 2.

and, going out on a limb, the two sub-dials, when coupled with the bronze case, give the watch an old-time analog feel, like an old submarine.

lastly, for what it's worth, i think the back of the 507 is nicer than the 382.

now, don't get me wrong, if i could choose between a 382 and 507 at list price, it would be a tough choice, but, i find that i can longer just dismiss the pronzo.

how about you?
