Forged Carbon Diver back from Clearwater
Hello All!
I had the great fortune of acquiring my Forged Carbon Diver from one of our trusted dealers on TRF in late March, and if you saw it in person I think you'd agree with me that it is a fantastic look piece, quite different from most Offshores in a number of ways. Already in the short amount of time I've had it, we've already had some adventures together, but unfortunately it had to take a solo trip to APSC in Clearwater as well. At first I thought I was going crazy...perhaps I wave my hands/fist pump too frantically at concerts I wore it to or whatnot, but I noticed that my Diver kept gaining time. Sometimes a minute or two overnight. (I always sync my watches to the clock inside my iPhone to see how accurately they keep time) Although it was a new watch, I was a little cautious and sent it over to Betsy at APSC. Although they told me that it would take a little over a month to service, lo and behold, like my last Diver I had serviced (my Steel had to get a crown replacement) the return time was much shorter than expected. I believe my watch came back within 3 weeks. Exceptional service I'd say. APSC's explanation was: "The watchmaker noted that the watch was rebanking. This means that the movement had too much power which caused it to run fast. The mainspring was replaced for a weaker one in order to resolve the issue." Regardless, I'm just so happy she's home. Have a great day all! ![]() |
