How do you wear your watch?

I'm sure this has been discussed on this forum before, but I'm a noob and couldn't find anything in reference to this via the search feature.

What I'm asking is, do you wear your watch on the elbow side (side closest to your elbow) or the hand side (closest to the hand) of your wrist bone?

In the past I used to keep my watches a little loose to where it could slide over my wrist bone fairly easily. This of course, would occasionally end up putting dents in the top of my hand from the crown, when the watch would slide a little over my hand.

So, is it all a matter of opinion on where on your wrist your watch sits or is the elbow-side considered rule of thumb?
