tudor circa 1950's

Hi i have just purchased this watch below and was just hoping people could give me some info and if i got bargain etc!
its for my fiance's 40th birthday, i already got him a 1972 omega for christmas last year and he wanted a rolex (too expensive for me) so i deciced on this tudor!
i THE WATCH IS APPROX 30MM DIAMETER - NOT COUNTING THE WINDER. IT HAS A BLACK METALLIC DIAL MARKED "TUDOR" &HAS A SWEEP SECONDS HAND.

THE CASE IS STAINLESS STEEL, MADE BY "DENNISON", THE MOVEMENT IS MARKED "TUDOR 17 RUBIES SWISS MADE"

can anyone give me any insight into it>
