I was at the AD and tried on this...
I am really liking the way the Yachtmaster feels and it's simplicity. I am a little confused though. The one I tried on was the 16622. It has the green lume, and stamped Clasp that you can only adjust with a special tool that pokes out the pin. Not good on the fly like the glidelock, or ratcheting clasp on the Sub.
I asked If I could change the clasp and she said, "Any changes made to the clasp or otherwise voids the warranty, and Rolex can decide not to service it." Is that true? One of the downfalls IMHO is that it does not have an adjustable strap. 1. Does anyone own a Yachtmaster 16622 and feel that the lack of adjustability on this watch make it uncomfortable during the day like in the afternoon when one's wrist swells a bit? 2. In Rolex E-brochure from Rolex.com they don't have the Silver faced 40mm any longer. Does this mean I will have to find an old model in a Rolex store or purchase used, or that Rolex isn't manufacturing it any longer? 3. Do the New ones have the Blue lume? 4. Any information or tips from those who own one would be greatly appreciated.
