Early Oyster Date Precision ID and Help!

Hi, Newbie to the Forums here, but have had a look around on the site a fair bit and it's a wealth of information.

However I have had trouble getting to the bottom of the year that my Oyster Date Precision was made. From my research it seems to be from the mid 50's, then again I've seen pictures of similar models claiming to be made in the early 70's.

Also I've managed to loose the crown and stem on this watch the other day (don't ask ), and was wondering if it would be possible to find a replacement? Any leads would be appreciated.

It's old and battered but it really is my most liked watch, I just need to get it running again.

Thanks in advance.

Here are the pics:
