What should my budget be for next watch

Hello All,

Sorry for asking this silly question, but I would really like to hear your opinions.

Has anyone worked out a formula as to how much you should spend on a watch? I am sure you have to consider salary, job security, expenses, savings, when was the last time you bought one and when will be next time I plan to buy one, and ultimately how much you love the watch you are considering...right?

I have been gifted my first 2 watches, and I am finally financially ready to buy my first...but with the wife, mortgage, and baby...I feel bad spending even 1% of my net worth on one.

Someone please help me out with any advice or formula's you've worked out, thanks in advance.
