New 93150 with 585 end links for my 1665 from the RSC
I went to pick up my V series 16600 from Dallas RSC today ( no polishing thank you) and had an idea . I took the head only of my great white (the bracelet is original A class code but with too much stretch for my taste) and ask if they could get me a new bracelet , at first the nice young lady said they didn't do that without the old trade in bracelet but she would ask. A few minutes later she came out and said they would do and gave me the paperwork to sign, it was for a 93150 with 580 end links. I told her that was great but even better if they had 585s since I "read somewhere" (Thanks S Moore) that 585s were what I needed. Again she goes in the back and returns to say the will have to go "downstairs" and look around as the 585s weren't made any more, but if they had them and they fit they would put it on, low and behold 30 mins later my new bracelet.
So Im curious about the clasp code SH3.... if the s is service then H is 1983 .. could it be I stumbled upon a new bracelet as old as my watch , probably not maybe this is a new 3 letter random...thoughts guys?? Anyway I love the feel of a crisp tight oyster even if its a flimsy 93150 , and some vintage purists make think Im a poser for wearing this way but it looks and feels great. So while i think I outsmarted RSC Im $1250 + tax poorer so maybe not see the pics old (top) and new (last 4 pics) But it still wants for that minty fat font insert and a true tropic super dome Last edited by Dr DRW; 1 June 2014 at 01:57 PM..
