Question on determining age of a watch..

Hi All..

I'm looking at a pre-owned Omega Seamaster and the seller doesn't have papers for the watch. In fact, he doesn't have much information of it other than it runs well and has no issue taking case back off and letting me view the guts so to speak. He estimates the year to be 2007.

How do I know for sure it was from later 2000's as he claims? Serial #?
Meet him at an AD to authenticate it?

If there is a thread out there that explains what I need to do and how to do it, can someone put up the link?

Thanks..
:-)
