My Red Sub Back From Rolex UK
Hi all,
It's been a while since I last posted, been eagerly awaiting the call from Rolex UK telling me my Red Sub service was completed. I got the call on Friday and travelled to London yesterday and I'm sooooo impressed with the results. Watch had stopped around 3 months ago, meaning it reallly needed looking at, turns out a screw had become lodged in the hairspring? Other parts replaced were an oscillating weight because it was cracked and the bracelet and plastic crystal. I have kept the old original 93150 bracelet and the old crystal for histories sake. Rolex tell me it's the watchs first service since 1994! The bracelet was fairly worn and Rolex could have refurbed but the "clasp horns were cracking" and they would give no guarentee on the bracelet hence why I asked for new bracelet on understanding I could keep original. The case was given a sympathetic polish and refurb and all other original parts were retained (face, hands, datewheel etc.) I am extremely pleased with the end result and now have a 34 year old rolex with a years guarentee. It's hard to believe. For those interested total cost of all work £750.36. It's a bargain!!!!!!!! I've attached a few pictures of the new improved red sub and have it proudly on my wrist at moment. |
