DSSD Just to play Devils advocate...
Ok with the exception of a few here, and you know who you are, most of us don’t dive or work on/in the sea. So why the appeal for this watch? It’s new yes, it’s kind of cool looking, but it’s likely to retail for close to 10K U.S. so why are most of us, ok at least 40% of us, ready to plunk down that kind of cash on something that will most likely never see the conditions it was built to endure?
I’m just curious and I’m not really sure myself?!?! My wife likes to point out with a rye smile how obsessed males are over “equipment” and extreme machines/tools. She may have a point and I certainly like owning the best of the best, but it’s not like woman are immune to their connections i.e. designer bags and sparkly jewelry. So is it a male thing, a people thing, a desire to know that we can all fall to the bottom of the ocean during a cruising accident and when they find our body our watch will still be ticking? Thoughts?
