Second first Rolex

Greetings,
I'm a long time TRF lurker and reader...but first time poster.
I had been a one watch type for 20+ years when my first TT DJ was stolen back in 2008. Insurance didn't cover replacement value, so I started on my current watch obyssey.
I went from Tissot to Tag to Omega and was pretty content with Omega but as I approached a milestone birthday this past summer something was missing. I decided to add back a TT DJ as a dress watch and chose a 16233.
None of the trusted TRF sellers had what I was looking for at the time, but Bob's Watches did at a reasonable price. It was a complete P series package, and the paperwork shows it was sold new in 2006.
As I am also a display back fan, I had my watchmaker install one that I purchased from Thomas Preik. The strap version, even though not original, still looks great with the end links from Smarty Jones.
So now I am back in the Rolex fold, so to speak, but no longer with just one watch.
This can, and has, become an expensive hobby.
Excuse the poorly lit photos...
YMMV,
b
