Sub question

I am new to this forum and am looking at purchasing a sub with a date. I have the option to purchase a new sub from an AD for $8000 ($500 discount from an out of state AD with no sales tax or delivery fee) or a 2002 sub for $5800 from a local store (plus 6% sales tax). I like both, but wonder if a $2200 difference is appropriate for a 13 year old watch. The 2002 watch is also from an AD and they warranty the watch for 2 years and certify it is authentic.
