I have to agree with this.
I left Rolex for a while & had Panerai, U Boat & Glycine. Size ranged from 44 -46mm but some looked alot larger that the others. It really depends on the design.

One criticism I have of Rolex is the Daytona. I think it needs to be 44mm as in keeping with the design & social standing of such a timepiece. Apart from that 40mm is just right for everyday wear.
