Faded ceramic!!!

I love the LN, but have grown tired of the tone/luster in the ceramic black.

Happened across this photo and it is what I am searching for. Now I know that in this case it is just the lighting making it appear faded, but never the less, it looks terrific.

So my friends, how do you suppose one could go about effecting their bezel insert to end up with this type of result?
No heresy here since this is not a rare or a vintage watch.
