Hello everyone, newbie saying hello and possible idea for next acquisition

Greetings everyone,

Newbie here from Hong Kong and I'm pretty new to the watch hobby so please be gentle. :)

I have but a few in the Rolex/Tudor family only...have a few lower end watches from Oris, Steinharts, Cartier (the only dress watch for that rare occasion)...nothing really worth mentioning. I'm not really into dressy watches as I'm mostly a shirt and jeans kind of guy so the tool watches fascinates me.

Here's what I have right now...

Rolex Explorer 214270

Tudor Heritage Ranger 79910

Tudor Submariner 75190

I'm think of getting a Rolex Sub as my next...I got that Tudor some 20+ yrs ago new and how I wish I saved up a little more and got a Rolex instead back then.

Now the question is, should I go vintage or new? As I'm really new to this hobby I'm a little intimidated by the vintage route...read quite a few horror stories of how the parts of the watch are not genuine or not period correct.

But whenever I read about the old Subs I'm just fascinated by how they look and that's something a new Sub can never give me.

Any pointers?
