Very rarely does such a watch come up for sale that includes the original hand tag, original inner & outer boxes, original certificate of authenticity, 4 services, last one recent & most importantly of all the original receipt of sale!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!

The watch condition is rated as a 9/10 with no major dings or scratches, it is very good condition and has a nice fat case with beautiful bevels and chamfers!

Watch again has saw little use since this service, condition reflects this

From 2009 until now, the watch has seen very light use and the condition of the watch since then shows this. This watch has never been sent to any unauthorised Rolex dealer for work. It has religiously been maintained by Rolex regardless of cost.

This is an ultra-rare find, and very rarely does such a piece come up for sale that has been religiously maintained regardless of cost. I can assure you, in all my years of watch collecting and making the transition to an independent watch seller I have never come across such a well-documented and original piece for sale. Many owners, who own these watches will lock them away in safes, not use them and never sell them!


This watch cost £500 new in 1979 and was initially purchased for £474 factoring in a 15% discount and has increased in value 15 times its original value. Such a piece in such condition will only increase in value especially with such examples increasingly hard to find that have not been polished to death and contain all original Rolex parts and has been very well looked after.
