Yes it's the most common "expensive" brand watch, almost everyone in the world knows how a sub looks like, and yes for thieves who are not watch experts they will go after you and your 7K Rolex and not after the guy with the 200K Patek

98%?? If you take the whole population if the works I think any other high end watch other then Rolex has 0,1% chance of being recognized, even when people have heard of brands like Patek they will practically never even suspect you have one when they see your watch
