Lost my click spring... AAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH!

I decided yesterday that I had worn my Coke insert long enough and it was time to switch back to the Pepsi. I really like the red/black, but there's no substitute for the Pepsi.

After I removed the bezel I attached the click-spring to a piece of tape to keep it from getting lost, as I always do. As I was holding the piece of tape, with click-spring attached, the spring came loose and fell in to a TRASH CAN. The trash bag was completely full and tied shut, but the spring fell right through the small opening at the top of the bag. I immediately said to myself, "That thing's gone forever." I spent a few minutes looking on the surface of the trash to locate the spring, but it was no where to be found. I reassembled the bezel assembly and reattached it to my watch... minus the click-spring, of course.

Fast forward 6 hours...

At 10:00 last night my wife and I were sitting watching the tele. I said to my wife... "I'll never find another click-spring - I've NEVER seen one for sale before." I quickly made my way back to the trash bag. I grabbed an extra bag and began transferring items, one at a time, from one bag to the other. After about 20 mins I had removed ALMOST ALL of the contents and there it was, sitting at the bottom of the bag.... MY CLICK-SPRING!!!

I was sooooo excited when I found it! It was getting late and I was in no mood to pull the bezel apart again, so I placed the bezel-spring in to a small ziplock bag to be installed at a later date. In fact, I'm wondering if I'll ever reinstall it. I actually prefer it without the spring... it reminds me of the 16750 GMT that I used to own. I figure I can reinstall it anytime if I change my mind, or if I ever decide to sell the watch.

Sorry for the looooong story.... as you can tell it was quite an event.
