Job Opportunity
We have a vacancy here in our Singapore office for an engineer. Specifically, we are looking for either of the following:-
1. Class 1 Unlimited (Foreign Going) Marine Engineer; or, 2. A Graduate Mechanical Engineer. We are not recruiting other types of engineer at the moment. One or other of the above. The work is a mix of office based (report writing and opinion work), out on survey and expert witness. Survey work varies from a planned visit to a shipyard to a marine casualty requiring that requires us to drop everything and go now. And I mean right now. We are on call 24/7. International travel can be extensive and prolonged (although extended trips are the exception rather that the rule). The business is challenging and demanding but can be incredibly interesting. Our work is marine dominated i.e. ships, rigs/offshore installations, ports, cargo. For more details about our company and what it is we do, go here: www.brookesbell.com Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal, is an absolute must. All of our reports are prepared on the basis that the job will end up in court or arbitration. Forensic investigation skills will also be at a very high standard; it is something that we are renowned for. It is a likelihood that the successful candidate will end up in the box giving evidence as expert witness at some stage during his/her career. We are primarily looking for someone already living/working in Asia, although we could consider the right candidate from someone currently based further afield. If anyone fits the bill and is interested in the above, please drop me a PM. Legal Disclaimer: Gender, race, creed, colour, religion, sexual preference, political orientation does not matter. You're either qualified and have the ability to do the job or you do not.
