Does everyone that own a Vintage know so much about them?

As stupid as this may sound, I am actually wondering this.
I know I have a lot of love for vintage pieces. I simply cannot memorise all the different variants. Some folks can easily spot the variant, whether the insert is period correct, crown, and so on.
Serial number with production year, and any errors that are seen with that.

I always use my links online to cross check as I find it impossible to memorise the different variants. Especially for all the references.

Still, vintage is where my heart is.
Learning every day also.
