Winder Recommendation for an early 70s Explorer?
In 1974, my father graduated from the US Air Force Academy as the Outstanding Cadet in Flying Gliders, and was gifted a 1973 or 1974 Rolex Explorer.
He gave the watch to me as a graduation present, and I had it restored by Rolex of San Francisco in 2013. I wear it in fits and spurts, probably averaging 3-4 times a week. I have a cheap watch winder that does not adequately keep the watch wound. If I go 48-72 hours without wearing it, the watch has stopped. As something of a neophyte to watches (it's my only watch), I don't know much about winders. What makes and models of winders do you recommend for an antique Rolex? I did some internet research but none of that was for vintage Rolexes so I want to make sure I get a winder with an adjustable TPD that works for my watch. The winder will be in my bedroom so I'd like it to be as quiet as possible. Thanks, Jason |
