I actually had more real nice boots to begin with. As the saying goes you can do more with a boot than you can a shoe. How can you not like a real great boot? LOL

The thing is I like to think even when it comes to boots, casual shoes to even include boat shoes that I just simply have a passion for real nice footwear. Heck even when it comes to work type looking boots that go well with jeans I enjoy a great pair of Vibergs. When it comes to handsewn Ranger Mocs its Rncourt or Quoddy. I just like and like wearing real nice footwear. Cordovan, Calf, Suede, and various other leathers.
