Update on damaged Sub

First, thanks again to those forum members for the info they provided when I originally posted my tale of woe regarding damaging my Submariner (as well as the words of compassion).

http://www.rolexforums.com/showthrea...ight=grinchcop

I did send it off around the end of June via my AD, finally receiving word back on the work required and what the cost will be.

RSC will be doing a full service, in addition to replacing the crystal and bezel insert. I was told that the bezel itself will be refinished, but that a couple of damaged areas might still be slightly visible. Evidently the crown and tube are also being replaced, as the crown had been damaged (which I didn't realize). After all is said and done, including shipping and tax, I will be out about $800.00.

Better than I thought, but it still bites!
