Scored a killer deal on a Montblanc 149

Because I work at a jewelry store I get to see very fine and expensive pens almost every day. A close friend to my watchmaker brought in his MB 149 to give to him but my watchmaker didn't want it mainly because he has pens up to his ears, but offered to find a buyer for it. I overheard and asked how much would he sell it for and after a short pause he said, "$200."

However, I have a catch 22 though with the pen. It has his initials on the cap, BUT, he is a CIA agent. So it's not your average engraved pen. I initially thought about replacing the cap, which MB would do for $200. But I thought it was pretty cool to have a CIA agent's pen. He even text me a picture of his ID for validation purposes and I assume if I ever sell it I'll black out the personal stuff on it to the potential buyer. However, I don't think this will go anywhere!

So I got a sweet deal on the 149 for $200. The MB store confirmed its a 90-91 build based on the "W. Germany" on the clip and the two tone 18K nib.

Sorry for not getting all the ink off the nib.
