Questing about vintage flightmaster Seiko

Hello to everyone, I recently joined the forum and recently purchased my first Rolex (two tone datejust) and love it. I find myself just sitting around and looking down at my wrist often. The first week or so I had it, I wore it daily. when I bought it my plans were to were it for nice outings and church and not on a day to day basis. I'm looking to purchase something to wear on a daily basis and have had my eye on the vintage Seiko flight master watches. They come in SS and gold plated. To be honest I like the look of the plated watches but I wonder they plating will hold up and how it looks in person and not if but when it needs to be replated what does that procedure cost and involve? Any help or input would be greatly appreciated.

By the way I'm really enjoying these forums so far and plain to add another Rolex or two down the road and hopefully start a collection.
