Introduction
Hi all,
Just want to say hello to everyone here. I have lurked forn the past month or so reading, enjoying and gathering information and for that I am most grateful. I first got interested in Rolex as a watch when I started work as a trainee trader in financial derivatives markets when I left school. It seemed that the uniform of a successful derivs trader back in the early 90's was not complete unless there was either a SS or TT Sub on their wrist. I looked up to these guys, as anyone in my situation would and decided that when I could afford it I would need to own one. Fortunately that time came sooner rather that later and I was able to secure a SS Sub for AUD 3,200 duty free before an o/s trip in 1997. Putting the piece on my wrist as the aircraft took off from SYD heading to Charles De Gaulle was great but gave me no indication of the obsession that was to follow. Here we are now 10 years later and that faithful sub is still on my left wrist, occasionally swapped for her TT sister (purchased in Singapore 2007). My AD has promised me the next (maybe last) SD she gets so am looking to add to my collection soon. I know everyone here likes photos and I will oblige when someone tells me how take/ post them! Thanks |
