Isn't it easier just to go legit these days? This crap would have done well in the 1990s pre-Internet (widespread anyway). Even today, he could sell legitimate watches and make a buck. Even if he wanted to sell frankensteins, there are places where that stuff is discusesed. He'd probably do well, and no one would care. Scamming people isn't very smart, especially in a place like this.
I've said it before, with this recent rash of the most trusted folks in vintage rolex breaking bad, from Mulholland on up, I don't trust anyone anymore. Become your own expert or it's caveat emptor.
