Glow in the dark hands with diamond markers?

Hi all,

I am brand new to this forum, and mine is a (somewhat general) question with respect to authenticity.

I have a friend who just bought a Rolex Datejust with diamond markers - steel, oyster dial: it's gorgeous, really. It may have been impolitic of me, especially considering I really don't know all that much about them, but I mentioned to her that I had never seen that particular model with glow in the dark hands, just metal.

I'm sure you know how this plays out: she got defensive as she had spent some money on this, and we both left with dark clouds over our heads.

So, I never got to see it closer than just noticing that. But could that alone be a determiner of authenticity (or non-)? Or are there ladies' Datejust watches with diamond markers and glow in the dark hands?

Because, of course, now it's imperative that I know. :)

Thank you!
