Luminous Dial & Hands 16220
Hi,
I have just got my first rolex. It is a SS 16220 Datejust with Grey Tapestry Dial with Silver Stick Hour markers. Jubilee Braecelet Its 6/7 years old and is in as new condition apart from one problem. Around the edge of the dial there are white dots at each hour mark and white markers on the hands, I am presuming these are supposed to be luminous. I have exposed the dial to daylight and even tried using a high powered torch on the dial to "charge" the luminous markers, when I try it in the dark not a glimmer. Have I got it completely wrong and the watch is not luminous or is this a common problem. To be honest I am very disappointed, as I thought Rolex were the ultimate in watches and did not anticipate a problem like this. I bought the watch from an Approved Dealer, Second Hand with a service Certificate dated June 2007 and they said they would guarantee it for 12 months. My next step is to return to the AD, but I thought I would try to get some advice from you guys first. Thanks. |
