Grand Seiko purchase question

Anyone have any luck getting a discount on new GS watches from an authorized dealer? I visited the Seiko boutique in midtown Manhattan last year and the sales reps implied that there would not be much wiggle room on msrp. Just wondering if others have had a similar or different experience.

Alternatively, are there any grey dealers that specialize in GS that could be recommended?

I've also seen some pre-owned examples in the internet and the FS forum on this sight, but availability and selection doesn't seems to be very robust.
