Watch box with magnets

Hey guys,
I use the following box for my timepieces (https://www.barringtonwatchwinders.c...s/6-watch-case). It is a really nice box and does the job (Let me know if you have any questions regarding the box). However when one closes the box, one needs to lock it with the key which is provided. I find that pretty annoying and tend not to do it most of the times. This is really dangerous because if unlocked, the lid can open if the box is not picked up securely from the base causing the time pieces to fall out.

I wanted to add some magnets to the box (http://www.magnet4sale.com/Block-neo...ndfeb-Magnets/) but was wondering if that could potentially magnetize the timepieces.

Thanks in advance
